This haiku is unique because you are actually talking to the tree in a conversation. The fact that the tree is searching for spring conveys a sense of melancholy, but also the hope of having its leaves once again. The numerous ellipses emphasize this effect and make it more dramatic in my opinion.
I think the picture goes perfect with you Haiku. I could visualize what your saying without having to look at the picture posted. Not only is the trees branched looking to move forward to spring but I am too!
I like how it is a complete discription not only of this piture but of of all trees in winter. It really captures the feeling of nature in the cold months.
The picture is perfect for your poem. I liked how you describe bare branches and wind blowing leaves. You can actually relate to the wind doing that in life. Good JOB!!
I'm a married mom of three wonderful girls who are the highlights of my life. I enjoy reading, writing, cooking, scrapbooking, and travel. I love a good political debate every now and then and I am greatly concerned for the health and welfare of our planet.
